Nightlight is a non-smoking all-ages club that offers Cutting Edge Music, Art Shows, Dance Parties and Ping Pong Tables!

We also have an outdoor patio where smoking is allowed.

Sun-Wednesday= Doors open at 9:00 PM and shows at 9:30 PM

Thursday, Friday and Saturday= Doors open at 5 PM and shows start when listed below..

Membership Since Nightlight serves liquor, In accordance to ABC regulations, we are now a private membership club. Membership is a mere $5 dollars and applications are available at the Nightlight door, bar and online (print and fill it out!). They can be purchased with cash, our credit card machine or with checks made to DYSS, Inc. Cards take three days to be processed and are available at the door.

Join us at the Nightlight for the opening "ice breaker" for SOHIPOTOME, a weekend of radio/honors/concert events recognizing and honoring women in and of the culture of Hip Hop. The 2nd Annual SOHIPOTOME event takes place March 11-13, 2010, with a radio special via WXYC on the evening of the 11th and events during the day and the evening at the Durham Arts Council.

DJ Steph Russ- long-time lady DJ- member of the Lady DJ night, WXYC DJ and femme power house- Steph is on the of the Triangle's premier DJ's.. check her out at the Nightlight and the Station frequently for Soul and Hip-Hop evenings..

J Bully -(Bully City) local Durham-based hip hop artist, hot bass beats, straight-up inspiration

Blakk Prynce aka Cash-a-Nova is a 23 year old Nc artist who has definitely put his mark in NC history. Early in his rap career he was selected to perform at the sweet auburn springfest in Atlanta,GA. He has been asked to rap on movie soundtracks as well as various features for other artists. Taking a short hiatus to focus on bringing out the rest of his label blakk titan he is now back and stronger than ever. His talent comes from his deep poetic background mixed in with his musical influences such as 2pac,B.I.G., DMX,Common, and Jadakiss. He brings his lyrical skills and prowess together in a way that definitely can catch the ear of any listener.

Starscream Jupiter is an American musician hailing from The Bronx area of New York City. Rapping since childhood, he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina as a preteen where he was influenced by contemporary rock and chose to pursue that musical path as well. Influences include Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Panic @ The Disco, and others. Affiliated with Blakk Titan Entertainment.

3D Straw- hailing from Raeford, VA, this hip-hop artist expandes on his theme 3-D by "shaking it up"... He has a sci-fi, hip hop and bow wow sort of lyricism... He is currently working with Chad Beatz from G-Unit, Get Cool, Caution & Velly, and the Misfitz.

Antonio Benz - talented young singer (best accapella yet) from Dade County.. make sure not to miss this soulful set!

FUN-A-DAY: INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE. February, as you may know, is a traditionally un-fun month. This year, we're striving to Up the Fun by at least 28 points through the first annual Fun-a-day North Carolina. "Wait," you ask, "what's fun-a-day?" Well, it was started by some awesome folks in Philadelphia (www.artclash.com). It involves making one of something every day for a month. At the end of the month, folks submit their creations and we have a big ol' art show and performance in March. "Wait," you say, "I'm not really an artist." Don't worry! You can look at the Artclash website for ideas. (A knot a day? A paper snowflake a day?) This is not about being an artist; it is about making art. It is about sharing what we make with each other. We know you're busy, but we don't think that's anything that 28 haikus can't fix. Check out our blog (funadaync.blogspot.com) or drop us an email (funadayNC@gmail.com). We'd love to hear from people who are planning to participate, and we would love to share your ideas and projects on our blog. Scientific Superstsar- Durham based trio blending 70's prog rock and pop music.

Anamanaguchi- is an electronic/punk rock group that play their frenetic guitar and basslines over the bedrock sound of a hacked and reprogrammed Nintendo system from 1985. The genre is referred to as Chiptune, and Anamanaguchi is without a doubt the looming figure of this movement in the US. Next month they'll be headlining the Blip Festival at The Bell House in Brooklyn, which is an international festival dedicated to the scene.

Sabre Pulse-one band band plays Gameboy tunes and organizes UK-based Chiptune Festival!

BALANKORA: is a raleigh-based performance group that will be focusing on non-percussive traditional music of west africa, played on balafon, kora, and ngoni.
